Met de Electar Century 1939 presenteert Epiphone een elektrische lapsteel gitaar met die vintage vibe uit de jaren 30, maar dan met enkele moderne gerieven. Zo heeft deze lap steel een 500B Blade Humbucker aan boord om je lekker volle versterkte sounds te kunnen bieden. Daarnaast zorgt de rubberen anti-slip mat aan de onderkant van de body ervoor dat deze Electar zorgt bij zelfs het wat wildere slidespel gewoon prima op zijn plek op je schoot blijft. Met name de 1-delige mahonie body, de traditionele 1939 Art Deco Replica ontwerp op de plexiglazen toets en de Circus Tent potmeterknoppen zorgt er voor dat deze uitvoering voor de rest nog steeds diezelfde sfeer ademt als het oorspronkelijk ontwerp van Herb Sunshine. Een passende gigbag wordt overigens meegeleverd.
