De Guild Starfire I DC is terug met aardig wat upgrades en ook nog eens verrassend betaalbaar! Deze reïssue uit de Newark St. Collection heeft ondere andere een Modern Thin U hals, een centerblock en 2 HB-2 Humbuckers. Het dunnere halsprofiel maakt hem ten opzichte van de vintage hollowbody een stuk gemakkelijker te bespelen. Ook heeft Guild bij deze update gekozen voor een centerblock onder het bovenblad. Naast dat dit in versterkte situaties ongewenste feedback tegengaat, maakt dit deze semi-akoestische doublecut thinline gitaar een stuk stabieler qua stemming en intonatie. De speciaal ontworpen HB-2 pickups zorgen voor die klassieke fifties en sixties dubbelspoels klanken met wat meer definitie. Wil je af en toe het singlecoil pad op? Dan geeft de push / pull optie je ook nog eens die mogelijkheid. Dit is de uitvoering met een solide stop tailpiece.
